KSUC burns seized country liquor

Thoubal, Jan.16: Kairembikhok Students Union and Club (KSUC) had burnt around 100 litres of country liquor seized from Kairimbikhok Awang Leikai during Thabal Chongba festival yesterday. KSUC conducted the drive as a part of the anti drug and alcohol campaign by Coalition Against Drug and Alcohol (CADA),Manipur. Surchand Usham, Secretary General, KSUC said that selling of liquors in Kairembikhok area of Wangjing Tentha Assembly constituency has been banned in view of the upcoming state assembly election. The general secretary also appealed not to use liquor or other intoxicants during any meeting or grant feast organized in relation to general election. He said if the volunteers of KSUC found any violation of the ban than the candidate should be held responsible and compliant will be launched to the election Commission of India.
