Imphal, Aug 26:

Khurmi Naga Peoples’ Organisation, Chandel  Manipur has appreciated the government of India for sanctioning the road widening work between Pallel, Chandel and Christian section and allotting for the implementation to NHIDL. The organization also lauded the NIDCL for issuing letter of acceptance to the M/S Krishna Construction Company, some months back.

A statement said that due to the COVID 19 Pandemic situation gripping the State at Manipur in particular, the execution of work could not start in time. However it has been the public desired that the work is executed at the earliest. which is going to start very soon. It is also learnt that many at the Company technical staffs are under Quarantined, the statement added.

The public at large is anticipating that the company shall execute the work by maintaining standard Quality. Therefore, the public and the Villages along the Pallel Chandel Christian Section are appealed to cordially extend cooperation to the any work, related to road widening.

Further, it is also appealed to the public and the concern Village Authorities inhabiting along Pallel Chandel Christian Section to approach the concern Land Acquisition Authority of the District or Deputy Commissioner Office on any matter relating to land compensation and not to cause hurdles to work implementing agency.

Meanwhile, the Civil Society Organizations of Chandel has assured the Company to extend Cooperation and other logistic support for the good service for the public.

Advocating for the public welfare, the District Administration has been appraised to install TrueNat Machine for the District Hospital Chandel and other Community health centres. It also to mention that Chandel being an Aspirational District is the only District, being neglected by the State Government. so far, Though two Medical Department representatives from the Manipur Health Services were deputed to Chandel to discuss With the District Administration no concrete action taken by the State Government at Manipur is known till date.

We want to appeal to the State Government that Government of India having released good amount of fund to deal With the COVID 19 Pandemic situation. there should not be any issue for paucity of fund to procure TrueNat Machine for the District Hospital as well as the Community Health Centres.

This is humanitarian call to the State Government to check Community Transmission through the service of the Manipur Health Service. the report of active positive cases of the District is available with the District Administration and the CMO office. there are already active + cases With no travel History. Hence, to prevent and control further spreading, all the public must not be deprived to avail clinical test of the COVID 19 in the nearby District Hospital and the Community Health Centres.

The Health Department is one of the most important service providers in the state health has been a conscious issue to the common public. but for the Outskirt District. the facility provided by the State Government is marginal and of sub standard. Ultrasound Machine, X Ray Machine other Lab Facility is of sub standard quality. It is also learnt that the concern District office has put up proposals for purchase and on service training. But the State Government is not serious to take prompt actions.

Such dereliction of responsibility, political discriminative attitude and exploitative mentality of the State Government shell not be tolerated in future and urge the State Government to address the grievances on humanitarian zeal.
