The 20th Raising Day of Kangleipak Communist Party’s Miyamgi Fingang Lanmi (MFL) was observed on August 13, 2024, with a commemorative event at the 131 Battalion. The event saw the participation of key members of the party, including General Secretary H. Poirei, Chief of the Army Staff H. Ibomcha, Deputy Finance Secretary Th. Bobby, and 131 Battalion Commanding Officer L. Palliba.
The ceremony commenced with a candle-lighting led by the event’s president and the party’s flag was raised by Chief Guest, followed by tributes to the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the cause. The leaders emphasized the ongoing struggle for the sovereignty of Manipur and pledged to continue their efforts.
In his address, Comrade Y. Somorjit delivered a speech on the significance of the day, followed by a message from the KCP/MFL’s Military Affairs Committee, delivered by Comrade L. Leisemba. The Deputy Finance Secretary, Th. Bobby, reiterated the organization’s commitment to the fight for Manipur’s independence, vowing to stand firm against any external forces.
General Secretary H. Poirei also took the opportunity to criticize the narco-terrorism perpetrated by Kuki groups, accusing them of financing violence and destabilizing the region. He urged the people to unite against these threats and warned that the struggle would intensify if necessary.
The event concluded with a charitable initiative where district commanders distributed essential supplies, including educational materials and clothing, to children, orphans, and the elderly in various institutions across the state.
