Kargil Vijay Diwas 2025 observed in Chandel district

The District Administration Chandel in collaboration with Mera Yuva Bharat, Chandel, observed Kargil Vijay Diwas 2025 at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office today to commemorate the valour and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the 1999 Kargil War.
As part of the observance, special tributes and gifts were extended to the families of Kargil War martyrs — Cr. Nicholas Moyon of Heikrutampak and Ng. Beningvir Moyon of Khukthar, both hailing from Chandel District and associated with the 1st Naga Regiment.
Speaking on the occasion, ADM Chandel Md. Firoz Khan recalled the brave soldiers from Chandel District who sacrificed their lives for the nation in the 1999 Kargil War and urged the people of the district to always remember their supreme sacrifice with pride.
The programme was attended by Additional SP Chandel Ts. Chamna, Deputy Commandant of 8th Manipur Rifles Leikul W. Jadumani, DFO Chandel Dr. N. Munal, SDCs Mothel Saka and Premilata Monsang Wanglar, along with other District Level Officers (DLOs).
