Kakching, April 26:
Dr. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), stated that peace cannot be considered restored in Manipur until the Internally Displaced People (IDPs) are able to return to their original homes. He stated that people must not forget the disunity among the state’s representatives or the difficult conditions in which the IDPs are currently living.
He was speaking at a felicitation programme organized today by the Kakching Block Congress Committee at its office.
Dr. Bimol further remarked, “Irrespective of caste and community, it is necessary for every citizen of India to exercise the Freedom of Movement.”
As part of his visit, Dr. Bimol offered prayers at Kakching Keithel Ima Lairembi, Kakching Khullen, and Wairi Ibudhou Khamlangba. He also interacted with youths at the Kakching Athenaeum Library.
The visit was also attended by Ksh. Kenedy, Member of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), along with members of the Kakching District Congress Committee.
