Imphal, May 3: A joint meeting under NPO and Civil Society Organisation, Senapati was held on 2nd May, 2017 at DRDA Conference Hall. PHED, Printing & Stationery Minister, Losii Dikho, Tribal and Hill Areas, Fisheries Minister, N. Kayisii, and Senapati ADC, Chairman ML Markson along with his colleagues attended the meeting. Tribal Development & Hills Minister Kayisii assured that he would avail the fund to the maximum under the various Tribal schemes. PHED Minister Dikho appreciates the initiators of Barak festivals and he also opined that Barak River has got lots of potentiality like providing water to the whole state through proper water storage set-up and making a good attraction for tourist. The convener of the meeting briefs some of the programme taken up in the past. The meeting also discussed on the recognition of Barak Festival as state festival and chocked out programmes to be taken up during the festival.
