Imphal, May 3: A truck driver and his helper were abducted by suspected cadres of KNF (P) at a place between Keithelmanbi and Sapermeina at around 11 am today. The truck which was laden with tiles plates was proceeding towards Imphal from Dimapur. The reason for kidnapping the driver and helper was to demand a ransom of Rs two lakh from the owner of the truck. However, the two persons were released shortly at around 12.10 pm.
