JD (U) condole Joumol catastrophe

Janata Dal (United) has expressed its grief over the loss of 20 lives in yesterday’s landslide at Chandel district.
Speaking to media person, president of JD (U) Manipur unit, N Tombi said that personnel of national disaster response team has already arrived at Joumol village of Chandel while the state disaster response force is yet to be at the affected site.
Instead of visiting the site the government should take remedial and relief measures to ensure safety of the people, said the president.
He also urged the state government and concerned departments to provide all possible assistance to victims’ families and affected people. He said those affected should be compensated.
He appealed the state health department, PHED, CAF and PD to go hand in hand as people will need their help at the moment.
