Large number of women and youth of NH 37 Co-ordinating committee, club 39 today throng to the resistance of Social welfare minister Ak Merabai to submit 5 points of memorandum of JCILPS. The rally began from the Takyel Kolom leikei. Around thousands of protestors participated the rally. A team of police stopped them at Langjing Achouba saying that the minister was in the meeting with JCILP. The protesters later waited at the community hall near the minister residence.
Meanwhile, Khwairamband women today organized a press meet regarding the 72 hour bandh imposed on the Keithel from august 18 till august 21 midnight. Thiyam Ongbi Ranibala of Sinpham Amadi Kanba Lup speaking to the media person said that there is no any bandh or shutdown in four keithel and will open as usual.
