The Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) Manipur resumed its mobilization campaign of the mass and students demanding for the introduction of Inner Line Permit system in the state and denouncing the passing of Manipur Visitors, Tenant & Migrant Workers’ Bill 2015. As part of the ongoing mobilization campaign, the students’ wing of JCILPS started its drive with students of CC Higher Secondary School, TG Higher Secondary School and Ananda Academy on June 6 2015. The campaign resumed yesterday with the students Wing members interacting with students of Ram Lal Paul, Ibotonsana Higher Secondary School and Modern Higher Secondary School, Tera. According to a reliable source, the campaign is being taken up under the initiative of Angamba- Convenor (students wing). It may also be mentioned that the JCILPS had earlier initiated the mobilization campaign by conducting mobile street corner meetings and poster campaigns. The group also maintains that in the event of the state government’s failure to respond positively to the demands put forward by the JCILPS, the conglomerate body will intensify their agitation looking ahead of the upcoming Monsoon Session of the State Assembly.
