Members of JCILPS today performed rituals at Kangla and offered prayer for speedy solution to the demand for implementation of ILPS in the state.
A team of students and women wings of the joint committee offered prayers to indigenous deity lord Pakhangba, Utra Shanglen and main caves at around 10.30 am.
While speaking to pressmen, leader of JCILPS Women’s’ Wing, L Nganbi, demanded the government to introduce a permit system within the stipulated August 15 dateline.
If the government to comply with the demands of JCILPS, the committee will be intensified their ongoing agitations, she warned.
