JCILP turn down govt. invitation

Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit (JCILP) System today turn down government invitation as one of the activist arrested in connection with the movement is still detained in custody. Speaking to media persons, convenor of the JCILPS, Ibotombi Khuman said that the invitation from the government side to have a meeting with the JCILP could not be accepted as government is not sincere. He said one of the activist of the JCILP, P. Arjun , Advocate who was arrested by the state force is still in custody. And the JCILP could not engage in talk with the government if the activist Arjun has not been released.A letter in the connection has been fowarded to the Chief Minister, Ibotombi said.he further said that the JCILP will be staging a mass protest on September 8. He appealed the people of the state to come forward and participate the mass protest scheduled to be held on September 8.
