Jan Sunwai on PM Poshan Social Audit 2025-26 held in Kakching

Jan Sunwai (public hearing) in connection with Social Audit 2025-26 under Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman (PM POSHAN) Scheme was held today at Keirak Upper Primary School, Kakching District. The programme was organised by PM Poshan Section, Zonal Educational Office (ZEO), Kakching.
The programme was graced by Mayanglambam Rakesh, ZEO Kakching; Ch. Milan, DRDA, Langmeidong CD Block; Dr. Sangita, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) Kakching; Parhai Samuel, Food Safety Administration Kakching; Sushila, Social Auditor and Elangbam Shanti Leima, former Pradhan of Keirak Gram Panchayat as dignitaries.
The programme was attended by around 60 participants comprising of parents, members of School Management Committee, officials of ZEO and other line departments including ZEO, Food Safety, RBSK, DRDA and others. An interaction meet was held between parents, members of SMC and line department.
Social Audit aims to promote transparency and accountability in the implementation of the scheme by informing and educating people about their rights and entitlements under the scheme.
It is also a collective platform for people to express their needs and grievances while promoting people’s participation in all stages of implementation of the scheme along with improving capacity of local stakeholders who participate in social audit.
