JACAATB stands for separate tribal state

Imphal, Aug 8: A day after Kuki Inpi Manipur had urged for creation of a separate administration for the tribal people, JAC Against Anti-Tribal Bill today said that Government of Manipur had had acknowledged the the demand of the armed group of Zo people while signing the memorandum of Understanding with the government of Manipur on May 10, 2017 in the presence of a witness from the Ministry of Home Affairs, govt. of India.
the statement comes out on the eve of the scheduled tripartite talk between the  UPF, Government of Manipur and Government of India on August 9 at New Delhi.
The Government of Manipur, in its MoU with the JAC acknowledged the demand for a separate administration for the indigenous tribal people of Manipur and assured all possible help and cooperation in the tripartite talk”, a statement  of the JAC CCpur said.
Earlier, the UPF is an umbrella body of six Kuki militant groups, Kuki National Front (KNF), Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA), Zou Defence Volunteers (ZDV), Hmar Peoples Convention (Democratic), United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) and Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) had appealed the Church leader to hold prayer for the success of the talk.
The similar appealed is also made by the JAC CCpur  to the tribal people. It urged the state government to honour the MoU signed on May 10, 2017.
