Imphal, August 2: JAC Against the Un-Natural Death of Laishram (O) Rasamni Devi today demanded doctors responsible for the dead to award befitting punishment either by sending them of the state or by taking up befitting action.
Convenor of the JAC S Kullachandra Singh, while speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today said that Rasamani was evacuated at RIMS casualty wards on July 27, 2016, and because of the negligence of the doctors posted there on the day. He said the RMO as well as the PG doctors failed to listen to the plea of the patient party to give attention to Rasamani as something unusual was seen developing on her after injecting dextrose. He further added that had the doctors listen and gave some attention she could have been saved.
Kullachandra further said the JAC will precede serious form of agitation if the RIMS authority failed to provide proper report on the cause of the death and punished those responsible for her dead. The RIMS authority is conducting an enquiry to the dead and a report is likely to present soon on August 4.
