Imphal, July 4: The JAC formed against the ‘Wanted’ tag on former JCILPS convenor Kh Ratan strongly condemned the silence of state government on the removal of wanted tag at a press meet held at Singjamei thong today. Speaking to media persons, media Co-ordinator Thongam Dara said that it is very unfortunate that the state government is still silent on the demand of the people about the removal of wanted tag on K.Ratan and implementation of ILPS in Manipur.
He further added that the JAC has made three demands including the state government to remove the wanted tag on Kh Ratan as soon as possible, the state government to pass a new bill to protect the indigenous people and before passing the bill, to consult the people of the state.
He further added that if the government failed to fulfill the demands various intense agitations and protests will continue soon.
