On the first day of the High School Leaving Certificate Examination 2026 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur, the Indigenous Youth Association of Kangleipak (IYAK) allegedly attempted to defame a school by making unverified allegations, the Principal said.
Principal Thokchom Sanahan Meetei of PLC Academy, located at Mayai Keithel under Yairipok centre, stated that IYAK accused the school of supplying notes to students at the examination centre. He clarified that the school had no connection with any such activity and termed the allegation unfounded.
He further informed that the vehicle allegedly involved in supplying notes was not within the school premises but was reportedly found around four kilometres away at Yairipok Khoirom area. Meanwhile, examinations were conducted smoothly under the supervision of the Flying Squad appointed by the Board.
The Principal also alleged that IYAK members entered classrooms without obtaining permission from the Officer-in-Charge or Assistant Officer-in-Charge and threatened students during the examination. He urged authorities to take necessary action and prevent recurrence of such incidents.
