Coordinating Committee NH-37 led by its secretary by H. Manosh Sharma along with a media team today inspected the situation of Takyel ITI. The institution was established on 1959 and has 23 trades with seat capacity of 448.
An instructor of Mechanic Motor Vehicle ITI, Kh.Rameshor said that his class has only 8 students out of 36 seats and he is the only teacher for this trade. He is teaching both practical and theory. He further said that other vacancies are not field till today.
He further added that the institution doesn’t have modern equipment which will enhance better understanding to the students.
On the Mechanic Motor Vehicle trade the institution has only the old jeep for practical which is outdated. The student further appealed to the concern authority to supply modern equipment.
The institution has more than 80 teachers, but only 25% are seen attending the class.
Later after the inspection visit, H.Manosh Sharma said that institute like ITI is an important institute for the state where unemployment is a major issue. He further said that on April 16 the organization had a meeting with director, principle and staff to discuss for development of the institution but till now no recommendation are put into action.
He further added that only 10 to 12 student were seen present out of 448, which meant that something fishy is going on in the institution. He said the administrator is running shop in rent within the compound. The Coordinating committee NH-37 further appealed to the concern authority to look into the matter.
