Vision Foundation Manipur today said that it has prepared for legal proceeding against former director of RIMS Dr. Sekhorjit and his wife Dr, Damyanti for misappropriating fund. In a press statement the President of the Vision Foundation Manipur said that the organisation will move to the court of law to award befitting punishment to both the former Director of RIMS Dr. Sekhorjit and his wife Damyanti for the wrongs they have committed. It said the former director had humiliated the National Information Commission by not giving reply to the questionnaire requested under the RTI Act in 2011 -12. It further said that the director in collusion with his wife Dr. Damyanti had appointed 115 nurses instead of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare approval for appointment of 71 nurses. The Vision Foundation Manipur urged immediate inquiry into the matter and remove all the 44 excess nurse appointed by the former director. It also alleged the director and his wife to have misappropriated fund for repairing o 8 operation theatre and also for construction of doctors’ quarters.
