The outcry of the people of Manipur in demand of Inner Line Permit System in the state has not yet calmed down even though the state government has used many possible means to hinder it.Today also a large number of people staged sit-in-protest in demand of re-implementation of Inner Line Permit System in the state, at various localities of the state.Places where sit-in-protests were staged today include Patsoi Part 3 and 4, Lamphel Kombirei Keithel, Lilong Thongkhong, Naharup Makha Leikai, Naharup Thongkhong, Wangkhei Thambalkhong, Khstrigao School, Kongpal Chanam Leikai, Kongpal TV Tower Makhong, Tanjeng Khunou, Tanjeng Khunjao, Tera Keithel, Sugnu, Khangabok Part 2 and 3, Rising Union Club Khangabok, Nambol Sabal Ishok and Kumbi.During the sit-in-protest the protester displayed placards read as “implement ILP in Manipur”, “check the growing population of non-locals in Manipur” and “no ILP, no race” etc.It may be mentioned that yesterday also a large number of students of many colleges located in Imphal agitated in demand of implementation of Inner Line Permit System in the state. Many students and police personnel were injured in police action to control the agitated students.
