Imphal, July 15: The patient who had been undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital Research Institutes after doctors of RIMS hospital had diagnosed of kidney failures died yesterday. Husband of the deceased blamed RIMS doctors for the cause of the death. Speaking to media persons at his home husband of the deceased, Wangkhem Dinachandra (29) of Langol Ningthou Leikai said that all expenditures for treatment of his wife should be borne by Dr. Nabakishor and Dr. Prinity of RIMS Hospital besides taking up legal actions against them. He further said that he will not accept the dead body until justice has been done. He further appealed to the concerned authorities to provide justice.
The deceased Wangkhem Eliza (31) was admitted to RIMS Hospital on May 09, 2014 for delivery case on the following day a baby boy was delivered through caesarean. After the baby has been delivered the deceased was reported to have problem of Kidney. Dinachandra however said that his wife never had any kidney problem before the caesarean and questioned the RIMS authority on how his wife could have kidney problem. Later on May 29, the patient was evacuated to Shija Hospital and later succumbed on Monday. The baby will be under the protection of Specialized Adoption Agency under Integrated Child Protection Scheme, Department of Social Welfare until the condition of the father improves.
