Imphal July 5: Maoist Communist Party Manipur, in a press statement released today by Comrade Nonglen Meitei, Secretary Publicity and Propaganda of the outfit, said that it has banned nine NGS operating in the field of HIV/AIDS in the state to work under Manipur State AIDS Control Society.
The statement said that the Maoist Communist Party have learnt that the Chief Minister of Manipur and some other Ministers are trying to revive these nine NGOs (7 RIAC and 2 MSM). It said that NGOs should stop conspiring with the Ministers for this.
It further said that the Manipur State AIDS Control Society should recover the money swindled by these nine NGO. Maoist statement also appealed to all the NGO operating in the state in the field of HIV/AIDS to be sincere so that they can effectively fight with HIV/AIDS.
