COCOMI’s rally strengthens stand against Chin Kuki Narco-Terrorists; Warns MLAs and Ministers of serious consequences if fails to take resolutions for protection of Manipur at State Assembly before August 5

Over lakhs of people today participated in the mass rally organized by the Co-ordinating Committee for Manipur’s Integrity (COCOMI) and reaffirmed stand against Chin Kuki Narco-Terrorist. The large number of people numbering nearly two lakhs, also unanimously agreed to take stern actions against the Manipur legislators if fail to convene a special session of the state assembly on or before August 5 and take a resolution for the protection of the Manipur’s territorial integrity.
The mass rally started from THAU ground in Thangmeiband and proceeded towards Khuyathong, Nagamapal, Wahengleikai, Keishampat, Keishamthong, and snakes towards Moirangkhom and later towards Thumbuthong where they reached Palace Compound where a public meeting was held.
“COCOMI had announced to start the rally from 10 am today, but people from all wakes of live started gathering before 10 am and the rally kickstart exactly at 10 am”, our reporter said. She added that the number of people participating in the rally may be more than two lakhs.
The route where the rally took place is around 7 Km. Even after the first row reached at Hapta Kangjeibung people continue to land at THAU ground.
“People continue to come to the gathering ground at Hapta Kangjeibung even after the meeting was concluded at around 1.00 pm”, our reporter said.
Various slogans denouncing the Chin Kuki Narco-Terrorists, aggression to Manipur’s territory by armed Kuki Militants, SoO agreement between the government of India and Manipur with the Kuki militants, and demands for separate administrations from Manipur were shouted during the rally.
Many participating in the rally also strongly denounced the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the inaction of Manipur’s Chief Minister N. Biren Singh to the violence in Manipur.
After reaching Hapta Kangjeibung, the masses under the COCOMI had resolved to exterminate Chin Kuki Narco-Terrorists and Foreign Illegal immigrants from the soil of Manipur to end the present conflict.
The meeting further resolved to stand against the arrangement of Separate Administration of any kind within the state of Manipur, immediate implementation of and updation of NRC. The meeting also urged the legislators to convene a special session of the State Assembly on or before August 5 to adopt some action-oriented resolutions to save Manipur.
The meeting also resolve to appraise the Prime Minister of India about the resolution adopted by the public today in connection with the Chin Kuki Narco-Terrorists and illegal migrants, stand against Separate Administration from Manipur and the demand for immediate implementation of NRC in Manipur.
