District Adminstration Jiribam organises 5th Meeyamgi Numit and Hill Leaders’ Day

In Continuation of State Government’s objective to make Government Citizen centric, proactive and programme implementation effective, the District Administration of Jiribam organised 5th Meeyamgi Numit and Hill Leaders’ Day today at Chingdong Liekai, DC Complex, Jiribam.
Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam W. Malemnganba Chenglei, IAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam Jameson Hangshing, MCS, T. Inaobi Singh, MPS, SDPO, Jiribam and M Devananda Singh, SDC, Borobekra and other district level officers of various Government Departments of the district attended the event.
Certain public services which includes various beneficiary oriented schemes like CMHT, PMJAY, Old Age Pension, CM Widow Pension scheme and Disability related benefits etc. were delivered by the concerned departments on the spot besides rendering of services to many individuals of the district by the departments such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Social Welfare, CAF & PDS and Forest etc.
Forest Department distributed Parkia, Bokul, Bay Leaf, Ashoka Saplings etc. to the public as a part department’s initiative to make the environment greener. Social Welfare Department also issued fresh Old Age Pension Schemes, CM Widow Pension Scheme and CMST forms.
On the other hand, Agriculture department distributed Mustard Seeds, Peas, maize Seeds etc. to the selected beneficiaries under National Food Security Mission (NFSM).
Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam heard the grievances of the public one by one and instructed the concerned department officials to redress the grievances. More than 61 applications of various issues were also received for redressal.
On the side-line of the event, DC W. Malemnganba Chenglei stressed the importance of organising such event and urged the public to harness the benefits arranged by the Government. He also thanked the Government officials of the district and pubic for making the event a grand success.
