District Skill Committee, Pherzawl and CIPET (Govt. of India) jointly organised a Career Counselling and Awareness Program on “Placement Oriented Skill Training Programme & Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Petrochemicals Sector”at SadbhavnaMandap, Parbung, Pherzawl District yesterday. The event was kicked off by MLA, Tipaimukh A/C Ngursanglur Sanate and I. Dinesh Kumar, SDO Tipaimukh. MLA stressed on the necessity of Skill Development in today’s age where jobs in the public sector are limited.
Students, parents, unemployed youth school dropouts attended the program in large numbers and interacted with IromRanjit, Technical Officer (Training) CIPET and NepoleonKhwairakpam, Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow (MGNF), Pherzawl to clear their doubts and concerns. The huge job placement and entrepreneurship opportunity for the educated youth and dropouts in the district after completion of their training courses at CIPET was presented. Many in the audience stated that they were unaware that Training Courses and Programs which was fully sponsored by the Government for economically and socially weaker sections even existed and hoped to enrol the youth in such courses.
A career counselling Session at Pherzawl High School on 10th November, 2022 was conducted. The team also visited Tinsuong and Lungthulien to interact with Youth Leaders in thecommunity and raise awareness of vocational training programs.
The events were coordinated by MNGF Pherzawl with the support of District Administration, Pherzawl.
