A sports Pavilion complex Was inauguration by Awang Sekmai Scheduled Cast Development Committee (ASSCDC) Secretary Khwairakpam Ishwarchandra and handed over to the locality of Awang Sekmai by ASSCDC president Khwairakpam Surjamani Singh yesterday .
The inauguration ceremony was held at around 10 am and the net estimated worth of the Complex was around 8 lakh.The Inauguration ceremony was took part by ASSCDC president Khwairakpam Surjamani and secretary Khwairakpam Ishwarchandra head of Awang Sekmai village along with some other senior of the villager.
The ASSCDC president Khwairakpam Surjamani stated that the locality of Awang Sekmai was mostly taken as an alcoholic place even though some national players were produced from the locality .In order to save the youth from alcohol and drugs the Complex was built he added.
ASSCDC Secretary Khwairakpam Ishwarchandra stated that the reason of building such complex is to produce more sportsperson of National level . Between 2004 and 2006 ,the locality contributed 3 football players in the Indian Football Team and made a record but after that no such thing happened and seen like have lost and so ton bring them up without the help of any other NGO , the Pavilions were bhuit up and this is the third one , he added .
On handing over the 3rd Pavilion Complex, the people of the locality and the youth thanks the committee a lot
