While the world is moving on to 4-G technology people of Manipur cannot fully enjoy the facility of 2-G service.
BSNL subscribers of Sagolmang area complained irregularity of BSNL network. The BTS tower installed by BSNL Imphal for facilitating GSM and CDMA service is not able to provide regular network to the subscribers. The subscribers avail the BTS service only from 9/10 am to 4/5 pm and no more service later on. This BTS service was totally defunct in the whole month of December 2014.
And mention could be made that the general public of Sagolmang area had earlier donated 0.30 acre of land to the BSNL Manipur to get the telecommunication facility around the Sagolmang area.
Same network problem is being faced by public of other localities in and around Imphal area. Public who solely depends on internet like the Print and Electronic media including Imphal Times itself face irregular network facilities from BSNL.
