Imphal, June 30:

Finally, Manipur sees hopes of restoring normalcy with workplace likely to be opened in the coming days as the state government had shot up covid-19 vaccination across the state.
Since June 28, the number of doses given has been raised to around fifteen thousand per day and the number of vaccination sessions held has also been increased to nearly double from before. The State government has also made arrangements for any Covid-vaccination center in any area on the request of any organisations or group if the number of beneficiaries is more than 150.
“State Government would be ready to arrange special vaccine sessions if the number of beneficiaries is 150 or more. Any organisation or group is welcome to contact the Deputy Commissioner of the district or the State Mission Director (NHM) 9436206298 for organising such a special session”, a notice issued by the Special Secretary Home, Government of Manipur, H. Gyan Prakash said.
The curfew that has been imposed from June 11 and the restriction to certain essential few essential activities have also been relaxed. Institutions, organisations, factories, shops, markets, private offices etc. will also be allowed to open and functional if the employees and workers and those associates running the institutions are vaccinated.
Meanwhile, vaccination drive in the state has been able to rise in the last two days with the district administration pushing up the drive. On June 28 the total doses given were raised to 15,089 and the number of doses given on June 29 was 15,235. Earlier the number could hardly reach 6000 beneficiaries per day.
There was however information about some influential people interfering with the pushing up of the vaccination drive.
