Vety. Employee serves legal notice to the state government to compensate him Rs. 2 crore

An employee of the state Veterinary & Animals Husbandary, Department who was promoted as Deputy Director has served a legal notice to the state government of Manipur for giving compensation award to the tune of Rs. 2,00,00,000/- (Two Crore) for allegedly causing personal inconvenience (Damage) due to inhuman and illegal act of the Under Secretary of State Vety. Department.
The notice was served to The State Government of Manipur, Chief Secretary, who is also the Commissioner (DP), and to the Commissioner (Vety. & A.H).
The legal notice issued by Advocate N. Jotendra Singh stated that on April 5, 2021, his client Dr. Sarungbam Indra Singh, Deputy Director, Vety. & Animals Husbandry dept. Government of Manipur received a paper having a title with ‘Memorandum’ dated 27/03/2021 being No. ADMV- 206/1/2021-Vety, signed by one Roshan Sapam, Under Secy/ Vety. Government of Manipur. The content of the memorandum reads that Dr. Sarungbam Indra Singh was posted at Jiribam district vide Government order No. 3/4/2020 – Vety dt. 13th No. 2020 and he has not joined duty and had not complied with the order of the Government.
Dr. Sarungbam Indra Singh has been called for an explanation for the failure to attend or join office as per the order.
However, in enquiry by Dr. Sarungbam Indra Singh, it has been found out that, the said government order, (Government Posting Order No. 3/4/20/20- Vety dated 13 Nov, 2020 never exists and moreover Dr. Sarungbam Indra Singh has not furnished and received the aforesaid posting order dated 13th November 2020 at any material point of time till date.
The notice by advocate N. Jotendro Singh, alleged that the unreasonable and arbitrarily Official Memorandum dated 27th March 2021 issued by Roshan Sapam, Under Secretary (Veterinary and Animals Husbandry), Govt. of Manipur is a threat to his client Dr. Sarungbam Indra Singh.
The notice is served under Section 80 of the Code of Civil Procedure 1908.
