ATSUM defers their proposed agitation in connection with ADC election

Imphal, Nov. 4:

Following assurance by the Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh to the member of the All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM) and its federating units today morning in connection with the demand for timely conduct of the ADC election, the apex student body has defer the statewide bandh and banned on the construction of National project.

The team of the ATSUM and its Federating unit meet the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues and representatives of Department of tribal Affairs & Hill at 11 am today at the Chief Minister secretariat and discussed about the demand for timely conduct of the ADC election.

As per source , the Chief Minister had assured the tribal apex students’ body to hold the ADC election on time and further assured that no further extension will be given to the ADC and this will be considered immediately in the next cabinet meeting after by-election.

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh had also posted about the agreement between the government and the ATSUM at social media.
