Refuting to police claim, Babysana’s father Ningthoujam Tomchou today said that he had given statement to the police twice. SP Imphal East Meghachandra yesterday stated that Tomchou, who is the father of the decease Babysana had never given statement to the police.
Speaking to media person today afternoon, Tomchou said that the first statement was given to Kakwa OC Sanjoy. He said that he along with his family were taken in different rooms and their statement were recorded in details. He said that another statement was given when he along with a JAC member went to Kakwa police to take post mortem report. He added he had given another statement to Additional SP Ghanashyam in his room.
Tomchou further said that he believed that he had given all his statement twice to the police.
He expressed dissatisfaction to the statement of the SP at which he stated that police have not taken any statement of him.
Tomchou also stated that if they want to take another statement, he urged the authority to send him summon and he is ready to give another statement in the presence of CSOs and social media. He still stands his word saying that he will now give his statement to CBI only.
