The present Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) regime and its family Rastriya Shwam Sevak (RSS) has been creating fear psychosis to the people of the country, so it is important that we the people of the country wipe out BJP and its alliance. This was what parliamentarian Doraisamy Raja popularly known to the people as Comrade D. Raja told this journalist at Irabot Bhavan here in Imphal.
When asked about the modus operandi of how the CPI will wipe out the BJP, D. Raja said that people across the country have started realizing the fact that if BJP continue to rule the country fate of common people will be at stake. The veteran politician further said that the recent defeat of BJP in three states is a perfect example of how the people see the BJP. He also said that BJP got only 38% vote last Lok Sabha Election so it is natural that they will go down in the upcoming Lok Sabha Election and definitely an alternative secular government will certainly replaced the present regime.
Regarding pre poll alliance strategy, D. Raja stands clear that such alliance will only comes after the poll result. The veteran parliamentarian however decline to answer about the expected number of CPI MP that might get elected but said that CPI will do render all activities to protect the democracy of the Country.
D. Raja also expressed confidence that the Secular Democratic Force (SDF) will defeat the BJP and its family RSS.
On a question regarding free speech and the sedition act (124A CrPC), D. Raja said that Communist Party of India (CPI) is against the sedition act and the party has been demanding for scrap of the act since 2014.
“I on behalf of the CPI had brought up the issue regarding the arrest of Kishorechandra Wangkhem by slapping NSA at the Rajya Sabha”, D. Raja said and added that CPI has been demanding unconditional release of the Manipur Journalist.
On the issue of Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) 2016, Raja said that the BJP don’t seem to understand what actually a citizen is. Moreover the content in the bill is unconstitutional. The uproar against the Bill clearly indicate that people have more understanding of what a citizen should be. On being asked the reason behind the AGP going in hand with the BJP even after the President of BJP Amit Shah had announced that they will bring CAB if they come to power, Raja reply that AGP is an opportunist political party with no commitment.
“BJP and its family including RSS is becoming aggressive, sectarian and using divisive policy among the people of the country as they are getting desperate”, D. Raja said.
Raja also added that the BJP at present have no answers to questions from political parties. Dissent are treated as anti national and many have been kept behind bar for speaking or questioning against the government.
D. Raja is campaigning in the state for CPI candidate in the inner Manipur Parliamentary constituency.
