Nagaland Cyber Crime Police arrest person who spread news about resignation of CM Zeliang in Social Media

Kohima, Dec 27: In connection with the alleged fake and forged resignation letter of Nagaland Chief Minister , T R Zeliang and his cabinet colleagues, the Cyber Crime Police Station under Police Headquarters Nagaland has arrested one person identified as Dietho Rhakho, Working President of the Dimapur District Congress Committee. It may be recalled that on 20th of this month the social media, especially on Whatsapp and Facebook was flooded with a forged letter purportedly written by Chief Minister and addressed to the Governor of Nagaland wherein it stated that in pursuance to the resolution adopted in the Assembly and owing to strong public demand to resign for paving way to bring early settlement of Naga Political issue, the Chief Minister and his team of Cabinet Ministers tender resignation with immediate effect. Sources revealed that following the filing of an FIR by the Chief Minister ’s Of fice the same evening, the Cyber Crime Police Station registered a case and investigation was taken up accused responsible for spreading fake documents of the highest office of the State with malicious intent. Sources said that the accused was arrested for creating and posting the fake and for ged letter . Sources said the accused in his statement to the Cyber Police also admitted that he created and circulated the letter
