Veteran politician O Joy and former Inspector General of Manipur Police, Y Joykumar Singh, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party have been felicitated during a function held today at Kakwa community hall.
Felicitating the two, Prahlad Patel, in-charge of Manipur Pradesh, BJP said that joining of the veteran politician and renowned former police officer is a sign of growing support for the party in the state.
He also the NDA-led government is working to develop the northeastern parts of the country in par with other Indian states. Without Manipur, India could not develop.
The state BJP in-charge also appeal the people of Manipur to support BJP and its endeavor to make a new India.

This would be an interesting story for a scribe. Y Joykumar is Bubbles Loitongbam’s Uncle-ji. He was suspended during the 2012 election by the Electoral Commission as head of Imphal Police Commandoes because opposition leaders pointed out he was assisting with attempted assassination of Ibobi Singh’s rivals. He was promoted to DG Manipur Police by Ibobi Singh as his reward after the suspension ended (he had been sideways promoted to MD Police Housing another kind of sinecure). Rats leaving a sinking ship then. Or is the family just hedging in case PR is declared and they want their black money protected? One for a scribe pity there aren’t any in Manipur still alive. Well done by the way for reporting on Sharmila’s last trial appearance. Apparently Bubbles & Co are claiming it’s illegal so that’s why nobody else does it. Apparently obeying the law is now illegal according to these fake manipuri activists and now loyal BJP supporters.
