Diocesan Social Service Society (DSSS) today organized a workshop at Synod Hall, IB Road, Churachandpur to discuss issues and problems of drug abuse and HIV/AIDS in the Churachandpur district.The workshop which was organized under the project “Community based drugs and AIDS Program” also discussed the role of the stakeholders in preventing the two menaces.During the first session, Dr. Thenkhogin Daco, Churachandpur facilitated the latest scenario of HIV/AIDS in the district and DAPCU activities and said that SHALOM run Community Support Centre at Lailam Veng, Churachandpur and the centre act as drop-in-centre for people living with HIV/AIDS. He said further said that minor ailments and Over Dose are treated in such centers.
