IRCS Manipur call on Governor Ajay Bhalla

Representatives of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State Branch led by its Vice President, Dr. R.K. Nimai Singh along with its Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer called on Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan this evening. They apprised about various humanitarian activities taken up by IRCS in Manipur, including distribution of relief materials to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) residing in various relief camps both in the hills and the valley.
The representatives of IRCS further informed that health camps have been conducted to provide psychological support to the IDPs. Blood donation camps have also been conducted regularly in collaboration with various medical institutions. Highlighting their grievances arising out of shortage of fund, they requested the Governor to support the organisation in this regard. Governor Ajay Bhalla appreciated the work done by the organisation and assured to extend support.
