Department of Adult education Manipur in association with the Literacy Mission Authority today observed the International Literacy Day at GM hall Imphal. Education Minister M Okendro who attended the observance as the chief guest stressed on the importance of education in bridging the gap of misunderstanding among the various community of the state. He said it is through the writings and education that we can impart our wisdom to the new generation. He further said that education plays key role in shaping once life.The International Literacy Day is being observed with a mission to eradicate illiteracy from the world.
