International Day of Older Persons observed in Kakching

The International Day of Older Persons 2025 was observed by the Senior Citizens Forum, Kakching, at the All Age Home in Panjao Punlum, Kakching.
The meeting was held under the theme “Older Persons Driving Local and Global Action: Our Aspiration, Our Well-Being, Our Right”. The event was attended by MLA Dr. Usham Deben, President of Senior Citizens Forum Kakching and former Minister Nongmaithem Nimai, and former Minister Thokchom Tomba.
MLA Dr. Usham Deben, who is also a member of the meeting, expressed his gratitude to the people of the country for their support and cooperation.
During the programme, senior citizens aged 90 and above were specially honoured by the Senior Citizens Forum, Kakching, in recognition of their lifelong contributions.
