Tech enthusiast students displayed their designs on the last day of the Hackathon event organised by Hackfest Manipur at NIT campus, Takyelpat.
Speaking about the Hackathon event, one of the organisers of Hackfest Manipur, Subhas Aribam who is also the founder of Motion Magik based in Mumbai and Delhi said Hackfest is a platform for the young and talented students of Manipur with the knowledge of technology to showcase their talents. He added that the event aims to give awareness of employment opportunities in big IT and hardware companies to the IT educated youth. Not only from NIT and ITI Schools but students from Maria Montessori School also participated in the event. Fourteen teams comprised of three each took part and showcased their products using their knowledge of IT skills. The jury was formed by IT specialists; Rahul Dev Sharma, Data Scientist at Accenture, Joseph Awungshi, founder of Inginit Company, Haobam Joyremba, Managing Director, Cube Ten Company and Tabita Denes, founder of Inginit Co.
Subhas further said that more than ten big recruiting companies participated in the event which will also offer part time of full time job opportunities to the talented individuals. The event is not just to break codes and passwords like a hacker but it’s about hacking innovative ideas, added Subhas.
