India Post celebrates the National Postal week

Imphal, Oct 10: India Post celebrates the National Postal week every 0ctober, starting with World post Day on 9th October. As a part of National Postal Week this year, India Post has decided to re-launch Sampoorna Dak feevan Bima Gram [SD]BG) Yojana, afresh with renewed vigour on 11th October 2017. Under this ‘scheme, an initiative has been taken to adopt villages having a minimum of 100 households, wherein at least 01 (oneJ Rural postal Life Insurance is to be sold to each household, so that every family in that village will get covered with RPLI. The primary objective under Sampoorna Dak Jeevan Bima Gram (SDJBG) Yojana is, coverage of all households in the identified village under RPLI. This scheme will help achieve the twin objective of increased insurance penetration as well as financial inclusion of rural populace.
