Indefinite Moirang bandh

Imphal, Sept 14: Keke Moirang Apunba Lup, the apex body of clubs and organizations in Moirang area has called an indefinite bandh at Moirang area starting at 5am of September 20.
In a release, M Shantikumar Singh, Secretary of the Apunba Lup said that despite repeated appeals and memorandums submitted to concern authorities to develop the area, the state government has failed to comply with the demands of the people of Moirang.
With no options left and in protest against the state government’s adamant attitude to the appeal of the people of Moirang, the Lup opted to call the indefinite bandh.
It also said that press, medical, and other essential and emergency services would be exempted from the purview of the bandh.
