Imphal, Oct 10: Troops of 9 Assam Rifles launched a swift search operation in general area Dalpatti (Ward No 4), and detected smuggling of banned wild life products in general area Dalpatti on Wednesday. During the course of search operation, the troops noticed that a packed consignment was hidden in the bushes across the road, PRO Assam Rifles said in a press release.

On thorough check of the consignments the troops recovered 1,23,400 numbers of banned Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride Tablets. The cost of the recovered Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride Tablets is approximately Rupees 12,34, 000/-. The recovered unclaimed banned Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride Tablets has been handed over to Office of the Customs, Moreh, the release added.
