Imphal, July 12: Authorities of state forest department and the police today seized several logs piled up inside the premises of an illegal saw mill located at Nambol area. Earlier on Friday, similar drive was conducted in Tamenglong district and seized large quantity of logs.The drive conducted today was led by DK Binodkumar, IFS, DFO of the Central Forest Division Mantripukhri. Speaking to media persons, the DFO said that the drive is being conducted under the Indian Forest Act 1927 and also as according to the order of the Supreme Court.
