Imphal, June 15: An IED was detected at Kuraopokpi along the Kakching Lamkahi-Pallel section of Imphal-Moreh road by security force this morning. According to report, a road opening patrol of 39 Assam Rifles stationed at Kakching Lamkhai came across the IED on the side of the national highway. After being alerted about the presence of the device, a team of Kakching police and officers of Assam Rifles rushed to the spot and the bomb was later defused there itself.
