Troops of 16AR today recovered a powerful IED planted near Namthilok Bridge along Imphal-Ukhrul road at about 6 and half kilometre to Litan Police Station. According to report the IED was found by a team of 16AR who were on ROP duty early today morning. Combined team of Leimakhong Army and Litan Police conducted a massive search in the area and recovered a large number of wires probably used for detonating the IED.
The IED was later safely detonated at around 12.30 pm at the same location where it was planted.
