A personnel of the 3 Assam Rifles was seriously wounded today after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by rebel group exploded near its post at Old Samtal in Churachandpur district at around 5.30 am today morning. The wounded Assam Rifles personal has been identified as Havildar Jagdish Chander (49). According to report reaching here, Jagdish Chander sustained multiple splinters injury at his neck and left leg. He was immediately rushed to Military Hospital at Leimakhong.
