IED blasts ahead of Republic Day

Amidst the intensive measures taken up by security forces ahead of Republic Day, a low intensity Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was blasted today morning near a garbage dump area at Khurai Lamlong Bazar under Porompat Police Station.
Sources said that the incident took place at around 8.00 am in the morning. However, there was no report of any human casualty in the incident.
It may be mentioned that the IED was blasted in spite of conducting various search operations and other precautionary measures in order to prevent from any unwanted incidents in the Republic Day Celebrations in the state.
