Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association today held a meeting at the Manipur press club demanding the enhancement of duty allowances of Home Guard personnel of Manipur .
Speaking to the media persons, Y Mangi Singh, President of Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association said that the state seems to neglect the work of the Home Guard. Since July 2015, the association has been appealing to the high court of Manipur to pay their allowance equivalent to the minimum of the pay to which the police personnel of the State are entitled but such benefits have not been fulfilled, Mangi said.
To provide help and support to the peoples and villagers affected in the earthquake and to provide beneficial help to the retired and the late members of the association, members of the association and any volunteers can provide help as donation at the account of the Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association i,e 795808003 of Manipur Co-Operative Bank, Mangi asserted in his speech.
