Imphal Jan 25: A hoax bomb had frightened the trespassers and security forces today at Kangla Sangomshang area of Imphal East District.
Sources said that locals of Kangla Sangomshang found an unknown object, suspected to be bomb, on the road side of the new road of Kangla Sangomshang at around 10 am this morning.
Personnel of Lamlai Police and 45 AR posted at Chingarel rushed at the spot as soon as they heard the news of detecting a bomb like object at the area. Security personnel blocked the road for some time to prevent from any unwanted incident. However, the object turned out to be a package of waste materials.
