Imphal, Oct 23: Unknown miscreants today placed a hand grenade to the residence of Administrative District Magistrate of Ukhrul District, Dipu Gangmei at Langol Tarung Village. Dipu Gangmei is about 45 years old and is son of S. Thanjekpou Gangmei. The grenade was found at around 7.00 am today morning by family members. A team of Lamphe police which rushed the spot retrieved the grenade at around 8 am. Police suspect the bomb to have been placed in relation to monetary demand. A case has been registered against the incident.
